The sun’s heat blazes on and the days are still long and warm, but a crisp, momentary breeze as you walk the kids to the bus stop hints at the approach of cooler temperatures. You welcome autumn with open arms, because summer’s reign has been tough. Exfoliation: Scrubs and Peels
Prevent your skin from becoming dry this fall and winter by regularly exfoliating 2-3 times per week. Exfoliation will help to remove your surface dead skin cells, ultimately helping your other products penetrate better because that wall of dead cells is now gone, revealing healthy, glowing soft skin. There are two types of exfoliation, mechanical exfoliation and chemical exfoliation. Mechanical exfoliation, or scrubs, involves using some sort of granular or physical exfoliator to roll across the skin, sloughing off the dead skin cells. Our Exfoliating Cleanser is a gentle, yet effective way to remove dead skin cells without damaging the outer layer of skin.
Chemical exfoliation, or peels, uses enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) to loosen the glue-like substance that holds the cells together and allows them to slough away.
The perfect fall peel for all skin types is our Dermal Resurfacer. It is formulated to exfoliate and deeply nourish skin with pumpkin pulp, pineapple and papaya enzymes. Loaded with antioxidants, this fortifying peel rejuvenates and supports cellular integrity while clearing pores and aiding detoxification. Skin is left feeling incredibly soft, smooth and clean with a renewed healthy glow. (Beauty Tip: Use in the morning to reveal your beautiful skin all day long.)

Serums are an awesome way to add extra nutrients and active ingredients into your daily routine. They are highly concentrated liquids that penetrate deep into the layers of the skin, delivering potent ingredients. Depending on your skin type, you can mix and match the right serums for your skin. You can also use multiple serums for added benefits.
Simply apply one serum and wait between 60-90 seconds before applying the next one.

Fall is the perfect time to do some serious repair work on your skin that has been exposed to summer’s damaging rays.
One of the main components of skin rejuvenation is an exfoliation to remove built up dead skin cells and help stimulate cell turnover. One of the most effective ways to do this is with a peel.
Peels come in many different shapes and sizes and you should learn as much as possible if it is right for you before using one.
How does a peel work?
Peels are usually alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and/or beta hydroxy acid (BHA) based which, once applied, dissolve the dead skin cells on the surface, and penetrate into the lower levels of the skin stimulating an injury response. This prompts increased cell turnover, allowing new skin cells to form. Peels are powerful tools to help rid your skin of fine lines, hyper-pigmentation and gives you a "renewed glow".
Is there down time? What should I expect post-peel?
Very little downtime is associated with our dermal resurfacer. Depending on the sensitivity of your skin, you may experience some slight redness and tingling during and shortly after your peel. It is of vital importance that you use sunscreen of at least SPF 15 following your peel, re-applying every 2 hours, as your skin will be very sensitive to burns and scarring-it is new skin after all!
When will I see results?
The results from our Dermal Resurfacer vary depending on the type of peel you receive, as well as your skin’s response. Some people notice immediate results, especially if they are addressing a surface issue such as acne. Your skin will be bright, toned and “glowing” immediately following the peel. The healing response that prompts collagen and elastin production works over time, gradually resulting in more youthful skin.
So why is fall the best time for a peel?
As the days get shorter and the weather gets cooler (or if you’re in the Midwest, nastier and more unpredictable), you will likely be outside less and less. An intensive dermal treatment usually goes deep into the skin and stimulates cell turnover, your skin will need some time to heal and needs to be out of the sun as much as possible. You’re not going to turn to dust if the sun touches you, but you’re going to do some serious damage to all that beautiful new skin! Fall and winter are the best times to get back on the wagon with your skincare routine in that you’ll
With all of the benefits of getting a peel regularly, there really is no reason to not try our Dermal Resurfacer.
